Description
Born from the scallop shell that, in myth, carried Venus to shore, the Venus Shell Cuff wraps the wrist in two fluted golden shells that meet like a pair of cupped hands. Each shell is sculpted with fine radiating ribs that catch and scatter the light, so the cuff seems to ripple with a warm, liquid shimmer every time the wrist moves.
The scallop has been an emblem of beauty, birth and safe passage for centuries — pilgrims wore it as a badge, painters set Venus upon it. Worn on the wrist, it brings a little of that mythology to everyday dressing: a piece that feels both ancient and entirely modern, sculptural without ever being heavy-handed.
The cuff is crafted in warm gold-plate over a hand-shaped base and polished to a soft, glowing finish rather than a hard shine. The open back is gently flexible, so it slips on at the narrowest part of the wrist and settles comfortably in place — one considered size that flatters most. Caring for your piece
Slip it on last, after fragrance and lotion have settled, and take it off before water. Store it in a soft pouch away from harder pieces that could scratch the gold, and buff it gently with a dry, soft cloth to keep its warm shine.
